Espy House
The Espy House served as President Washington's Headquarters during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794. The building is located in downtown Bedford, at 123 Pitt Street. Now used as a bakery and apartments, this solid stone structure was originally built by Colonel David Espy in 1766. This structure is part of the Guided Walking Tours offered every Friday afternoon from June through October.

Fall Foliage Festival
Held the first two weekends in October, visit 400 craftsmen, special exhibits, antique care parade, music, festival goods and entertainment. Call 800-765-3331 for more information.

Fort Bedford Museum
Fort Bedford was built by the British during the time of the French-Indian War to keep the British supply line open along the Forbes Trail. Fort Bedford Museum houses a large-scale model of the original fort built on this site in 1758. The museum displays Native American artifacts, early period wagons and thousands of items from the 1700s and 1800s. Friendship Village RV / Campground
Full service cottages, miniature golf, as well as paddle boat and row boat rentals, fishing, swimming, fun barn etc. Located 2 miles west of Bedford, along route 30. Turn north onto Friendship Village Road. Call 800-992-3528 for more information.

Old Bedford Village
Located on old U. S. Route 220 just north of Bedford, you will find a complex of historical buildings, which were collected from all over the county. Arranged in the manner of a typical colonial settlement, the buildings were reconstructed and contain demonstrations of the early American crafts, which were found in colonial Bedford.

Raystown Lake
Pennsylvania's largest man-made lake, with 110 miles of shoreline, 8300 acres of water, 11 launch ramps and 3 tour boats, this lake is well suited for power-boats, house-boats, jet-skis and water skiing. There are designated swimming areas and excellent fishing! The latest striped bass record is over 53 lbs! Raystown Lake is located an hour north of Bedford or Breezewood.
