The Chambersburg Area Council for the Arts exists to promote arts and cultural experiences for all the people of the greater Chambersburg area by increasing community awareness, appreciation, and involvement in arts and cultural activities, and by providing services to arts and cultural organizations which enhance their effectiveness. Buchanan's Birthplace State Park
Buchanan's Birthplace State Park is 1 mi. n.w. off SR 16. The 18.5-acre birthplace site is run by Cowans Gap State Park. Activities include fishing and picnicking. Renfrew Museum and Park
Renfrew Museum and Park, 1010 E. Main St., houses a 300-piece pottery collection and the Nicodemus Collection of Decorative Arts, featuring ceramics, quilts, painted furniture and metalware. The Old Jail
The Old Jail, 175 E. King St., was built in 1818 and was one of the few buildings that survived the burning of Chambersburg by Confederate forces in 1864.
