Brandywine Battlefield Park
The Brandywine Battlefield Park brings to life the largest engagement of the Revolutionary War, fought on September 11, 1777, between the Continental Army led by General George Washington and the British forces headed by General William Howe. The park has a Visitor Center with a museum and a gift shop. On the grounds of the park are both Washington's headquarters and Lafayette's quarters. Bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds as you talk about one chapter in the book we call America. Located in nearby Chadds Ford, just 1-½ miles away. Longwood Gardens

The Franklin Mint Museum
The Museum houses a spectacular permanent exhibition of 20th Century cultural icons, including the white sequin Princess Diana gown and Jackie Kennedy's original triple strand faux pearl necklace.
