Eastern Mercer County's first gristmill, built in 1799 by Valentine Cunningham, drew settlers to the village then known as Pine Grove. Today's Grove City is a prosperous community best known as the home of Grove City College.

Greenville Railroad Museum features #604—one of the largest switch engines in the world used by the steel industry. Built in 1936, the engine hauled iron ore on the Duluth, Mesabi and Iron Range Railroad. Also displayed are a coal tender, hopper car, a 1913 Empire touring car and a 1952 caboose. Kraynak's Santa's Christmasland and Easter Bunny Lane are off I-80 exit 4B, 3.1 mi. n. on SR 18N, then .7 mi. w. to 2525 E. State St. Santa's Christmasland has more than 60 decorated trees with animated figures depicting religious themes, traditional Christmas scenes and favorite childhood characters. Wendell August Forge
Wendell August Forge, 620 Madison Ave., is one of the few remaining forges in the country that produces forged aluminum, bronze, pewter and sterling silver items by hand.
