City Island
From the city center, stroll across the historic Walnut Street Bridge and visit the past of City Island. Situated in the middle of the Susquehanna River, the island is host to a variety of old time attractions such as a restored carousal and a mini steam train. Cafes, shops, fountains, water mini-golf and RiverSide Stadium are just some of the attractions found on this charming island. Accessible to vehicles via Market Street Bridge.

Fort Hunter Mansion and Park
Located on 40-acres, this mansion is a 19th century plantation complex. The building is a National Register of Historic Places. The mansion is closed on Mondays, Holidays and January through April. Many events take place, such as Fort Hunter Day and Christmas at Fort Hunter. Call 717-599-57 for more information.

Harrisburg Horizon Basketball
This professional basketball team offers group packages for special rates. Packs of tens are available. Group parties can be accommodated and includes hot dog and Pepsi. John Harris-Simon Cameron Mansion
Restored to its 19th century appearance, the mansion stands in its former grandeur on the edge of Riverfront Park with sweeping views of the Susquehanna River. Once home to John Harris—Ambassador to the Native Americans for William Penn—in the 1760s, and his son Simon Cameron—who became the first Secretary of War under Abraham Lincoln. State Capitol
As Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania; free-guided tours of its government building are available. Historically significant and magnificently striking with a 272-foot domed roof (modeled after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome) complete with murals and stained glass and a grand marble staircase (inspired by the staircase in the Paris Grand Opera House). Susquehanna Art Museum
Since 1989, this museum has been providing the Harrisburg area with its fine art displays. The museum was created by four central Pennsylvania art educators. William Penn Museum The State Museum of Pennsylvania
Located in the capital city of Harrisburg, across from the magnificent State Capitol, which is also open for tours. The State Museum is a comprehensive professional museum, which was established in 1905 to collect and preserve artifacts which illustrate the Commonwealth's history and to interpret our heritage through exhibits and programs.
