General Lee's Headquarters Museum
General Lee's Headquarters Museum is on historic Seminary Ridge, 401 Buford Ave. at US 30W. On July 1, 1863, Gen. Robert E. Gettysburg National Cemetery
Gettysburg National Cemetery, off Baltimore Pike, consists of 17 acres and contains the graves of 3,555 Union Civil War dead, 1,600 of them unknown. The Soldiers' National Monument stands near the spot where President Lincoln delivered his immortal dedication address Nov. 19, 1863. Interpretive walks are given during the summer. National Park Visitor Center
National Park Visitor Center, across from the national cemetery on SR 134, serves as the starting point for tours of the battlefield. Both self-guiding and guided tours are available. Arrangements can be made for a personally conducted 2-hour tour with a licensed battlefield guide.
